Airbrush Technique Issue 23 - (Page 17) I start with white because this will end up being a monochromatic type illustration. I build up little by little the features and high points to where I can start bringing in a light black and gray to start showing where all the dark and low points are. I use a low tack rag to eliminate any overspray build up and also wipe down with a water based wax and grease remover periodically for the same reason I use the tack rag. The face starts to sharpen up a bit and begins to be a little more recognizable. Time to bring in some dark details using black. I’m just tightening up and defining and shading where needed, all the while studying his face for later when I start to add some of the bio-art to his face.
