Airbrush Technique Issue 23 - (Page 31) When Stika has completed cutting your design turn it off and remove the paint mask. At this point you can weed the letters out of the paint mask or just apply your transfer tape. Here I have chosen to weed the letters out as you can see, with the letters removed apply transfer tape and remove the backing from the paint mask. Apply the paint mask to the surface you are painting, burnish it down gently and remove the transfer tape, you are now ready to airbrush some color into your lettering. To control over spray add some tape around the lettering. There you have our finished lettering nice and sharp, on a hard surface (panel art, helmet, tank, fenders) this is the best way to go about rendering professional looking lettering.
