Y ou know how wonderful the Alexandria Lakes Area is all summer long, well we want to invite you here to experience our favorite season…WINTER! Downhill skiing, cross-country skiing, snowboarding, snow tubing, snowmobiling, ice fishing, the Ice Fishing Challenge Tournament, Alexandria Blizzard NAHL Hockey and more are waiting for you in the Lakes Area. When fall turns to winter we put out a big Minnesota Winter WELCOME mat! Not many towns can boast about their own ski area and Alexandria is proud to do it. Come visit west central Minnesota’s best-kept secret Andes Tower Hills. Alexandria is also home to 500 miles of snowmobile trails groomed by DATA. During the summer the Alexandria Lakes Area is home to pristine lakes full of fish. In the winter the fish are still there, just waiting for you to drill a hole in the ice and tempt them with your favorite bait. Don’t forget the Alexandria winter guarantee…NO MOSQUITOS! SKI • BOARD • CROSS-COUNTRY SNOW TUBE Andes Tower Hills is located in the glacially cut hills of Kensington just 15 miles west of Alexandria. 15 downhill runs, three chairlifts, snow tubing, pro shop, snack bar, and rental shop says a lot about Andes Tower Hills but we are not done yet. A newly expanded terrain park awaits the snowboard enthusiast. Their 15 runs will challenge the expert skier and be friendly to the first timer as well. Their three chairlifts help reduce your wait in the lift line so you can spend more time skiing or boarding. If you do not like to ski or board then try out their snow tubing. They will give a lift to the top and let you ride your tube to the bottom on one of their five runs groomed specifically for snow tubing. Andes Tower Hills is located on the DATA snowmobile trail system and will have fresh warm food waiting for you in their Snack Bar.
