Note: Beginning with manuscripts submitted on January 1, 2013, Diabetes Care and Diabetes will require authors to report HbA1c levels in both DCCT (Diabetes Control and Complications Trial)–derived units (%) and IFCC-recommended SI units (mmol/mol). Authors should use the NGSP’s HbA1c converter at ngsp.org /convert1.asp to calculate HbA1c values as both % and mmol/mol. The journals’ instructions to authors link to the converter. The conversion table above, which also appears at ngsp.org/convert1.asp, is reproduced here with permission.
