EnTrans Enters Industry With Advanced Products

HOUSTON-EnTrans International,
the parent company of SERVA, Heil
Trailer and Kayln Siebert, made its official
industry debut at the Offshore Technology
Conference in May.
SERVA's new iMast manipulates the
injector on multiple planes. Its telescoping
mast reaches multiple wellheads while allowing customers to enjoy the safety and
control of a traditional mast coil unit, EnTrans says, noting the iMast operates seamlessly with the entire SERVA product line.
Also on display at OTC were a new

SERVA cementer and mixing skids. According to EnTrans, the equipment provides state-of-the-art mixing and automatic
control, as well as superior automatic
density control, with minimum product
maintenance.
Other products on display included
SERVA C-pumps, fracture and triplex
pumps, and a Heil Trailer sander and
crude trailers, and a Kalyn Siebert lowboy
extendable.

NOIA's Directors Elect Chairwoman, Vice Chair
WASHINGTON-Cindy B. Taylor,
president and chief executive officer of
Oil States International Inc., has been
elected chairwoman of the National Ocean
Industries Association for the 2015-16
term. NOIA's Board of Directors also
elected Kevin McEvoy, chief executive
officer of Oceanengineering International
Inc. as vice chairman.

Weir, MTU Work To Boost
Fracture Pump Efficiency

HOUSTON-Weir Oil & Gas, a division of The Weir Group PLC, and the
Rolls-Royce Power Systems company
MTU have formed a joint venture to develop a power system to make hydraulic
fracturing more efficient.
Weir manufactures hydraulic fracturing
pumps, and MTU provides heavy-duty
industrial diesel engines, the companies
note. They say the venture, which deepens
a partnership formed in 2014, will integrate
the engine, transmission and hydraulic
fracturing pump into a purpose-built
power system to meet demand for more
efficient continuous duty equipment.
"The joint venture between MTU and
Weir will provide easier access to a completely integrated pumping power system
that addresses the challenges faced by
fracture site operators," says Ulrich Dohle,
chief executive officer of Rolls-Royce
Power Systems. "Not only have we
brought together our best engineering
minds to design a solution that enhances
run times for the engine, transmission
and pump, but we also have brought together our best business minds to provide
customers with an exciting new source
of innovative fracture solutions."
Weir and MTU say the joint venture
company will begin operations by 2016.❒

Taylor has led Oil States International,
a publically traded diversified oil field
services company headquartered in Houston, since 2007, NOIA says. She also
serves on the company's board of directors,
and has been NOIA's vice chairwoman
for the 2014-15 term.

Sundyne's 33XN Gearbox
Boosts Field Performance

ARVADA, CO.-Sundyne has released
its 33XN gearbox, which the company describes as a streamlined evolution of the
gearbox found in its integrally geared centrifugal pumps and compressors designed
to enhance performance and reliability.
Built to comply with API 610 bearing
conditions, the Sundyne 33XN delivers a
minimum of three years mean time between
failures, reducing downtime and the need
for maintenance overhauls, Sundyne reports. With no auxiliary lube pump to
specify or maintain, the company continues,
the 33XN gearbox is designed specifically
for low to medium power application.
According to Sundyne, the 33XN is
capable of delivering between 150 and
275 horsepower, depending on configuration, and features upgrades such as:
* A desiccant breather for
preventing excessive moisture within
the gearbox;
* A gearbox output SundSEALTM,
which minimizes seal leakage while
effectively controlling seal face
condition to provide a longer life; and
* A redesigned bearing plate to
improve oil path flow.

Cameron Introduces Jaguar For Mobile Offshore Drilling

HOUSTON-Cameron has introduced
the LETOURNEAUTM Jaguar class selfelevating mobile offshore drilling unit.
Utilizing the LETOURNEAU 1000Kip elevating unit and the LETOURNEAU STORM LOKTM leg fixation system, the Jaguar is capable of operating in water depths as great as 400
feet in harsh conditions or 500 feet in
moderate waters, Cameron says. The
company reports the rig can drill ultrahigh-pressure, high-temperature wells to

40,000 feet with a hook load of 2.5
million pounds and setback capacity of
1,700 kips in quads, filling the market
gap between the typical premium and
ultralarge jack-ups.
The Jaguar only requires a leg fixation
system in severe storm conditions, which
Cameron says enables half-day savings
each time a rig is moved. The Jaguar also
features a unique spud can and leg well
that allows individual legs to be pulled
above the waterline, which can save hundreds of thousands of dollars by permitting
classification society Special Periodic Survey inspection without dry docking,
Cameron adds.
