SecureView® Offers Means To Evaluate Well Integrity

HOUSTON-Weatherford International
has released its SecureView® wireline
cased-hole evaluation suite.
The SecureView suite provides single-trip, high-resolution diagnostics in
cased-hole wells and offers operators
faster and conclusive data to address potential well threats that may lead to production loss and liabilities, Weatherford

says. The company adds that the suite
combines four field-proven diagnostic
technologies to inspect, identify, and determine root causes of well integrity issues:
UltraViewTM, an ultrasonic measurement
tool; FluxView®, a magnetic flux leakage
tool; CalView®, a high-resolution multisensory-caliper tool; and BondViewTM, a
cement-bond tool.
"The ability to combine multiple measurements in one run to allow our
clients to receive reliable, complementary and comprehensive data is
a game changer," says Brice Bouffard,

Exterran Adds Package To Compressor Offering
HOUSTON-Exterran has added a new
member to its line of pre-engineered,
configurable compression packages: the
C-Series 7044.
This model pairs GE's 1,680 horsepower Waukesha L7044GSI rich-burn
engine with an Ariel JGK4 compressor.
Waukesha engines are widely regarded
for fuel flexibility on a wide gas range up
to 2,300 Btu, as well as full-power capabilities without derate at altitudes to 8,000
feet, Exterran states. The company says
the C-Series 7044 can be configured with
more than 60 options, including advanced
emissions control systems to meet most
government compliance requirements.

"The C-Series 7044 broadens Exterran's already extensive menu of solutions
to meet the unique production requirements
of our customers," comments William
Sayre, the company's vice president of
compression fabrication. "The growing
product family allows us to offer pre-engineered gas compression packages with

PuraDYN Enables Scandrill To Reduce Rig Oil Changes
BOYNTON BEACH, FL.-Texasbased drilling contractor Scandrill Inc.
has decided to use puraDYN oil filtration
systems from Puradyn Filter Technologies
Inc. for all engines in its 17-rig fleet.
Scandrill President and Chief Operating
Officer Paul Mosvold says the decision
reflects his company's commitment to
safety and environmental protection.
"All of our rigs have incorporated the

puraDYN system, and because of it, we
have been able to safely extend . . . oil
drain intervals to 5,000 hours from our
previous practice of 1,000 hours," he reports. "This reduces oil drains to once
per year, saving operating costs, and reducing the amount of waste oil generation."

Milestone Illustrates Safety
Of DynaSelectTM Detonator

HOUSTON-The DynaSelectTM selective perforating system from DynaEnergetics has surpassed 250,000 perforating shots fired without a safety incident.
The system reduces the risk of and
total cost of completions that require
firing multiple guns during a single trip
into the well, DynaEnergetics says.
"The DynaSelect system includes the
world's first and only fully integrated
switch-detonator," explains DynaEnergetics President Ian Grieves. "This intrinsically safe system guarantees the
highest levels of perforating reliability
and safety, and results in significant rig
time and completion savings."
Grieves says the integrated switchdetonator requires a series of specific
digital codes to prevent stray voltage/current, radio frequency signals and other
energy sources from unintentionally initiating the detonator or igniter. Because
the system is intrinsically safe, a gun
cannot be fired unless coded signals are
received from a firing panel at surface,
he emphasizes.

Tenaris Opens OCTG Mill
In Northwestern Colombia

CARTAGENA, COLOMBIA-After
250,000 engineering man-hours and 18
months of construction, TuboCaribe,
Tenaris' production center in Colombia,
has opened an OCTG mill in CartagenaBolivar.
The 148-acre mill includes new lines
that incorporate state-of-the-art technology, Tenaris says. According to the
company, these include a cutting-edge
heat treatment line, threading facilities
capable of processing proprietary premium connections, inspection lines that
meet the highest quality standards, and
adjustment lines. Tenaris says the entire
process guarantees production of high
quality finished pipes that will offer
outstanding performance.
Tenaris says the mill increases TuboCaribe's production capacity from 160,000
tons to 250,000 tons a year, giving it the
ability to supply both local and export
markets.
