EnLink Acquires Assets
From Tall Oak Midstream

The new C&J Energy Services Casedhole Solutions facility in Giddings, Tx., which will
serve as a regional office and maintenance hub for pumping and acid services, is expected to employ 80, with the capacity to increase to 130, based on demand. The company says its on-site capabilities include a bulk acid plant, as well as laboratory support
for acid and stimulation services. Ed Keppler, C&J Energy's president of drilling and
completion services, notes that the facility is well situated for customers in the Austin
Chalk and the Barnett, Eaglebine and Eagle Ford shale plays. The buildings were constructed on the eight-acre site at a cost of $2.8 million, C&J Energy Services says. For

Baker Hughes Solution Reduces ESP Downtime
HOUSTON-The CENesis PhaseTM
multiphase encapsulated production solution from Baker Hughes helps operators
avoid production interruptions in unconventional wells. The company says the
system, designed to separate natural gas
from an oil stream before it enters an
electric submersible pump, mitigates production downtime and potential ESP performance issues.
"ESP systems are critical to achieving
maximum production rates and reservoir
pressure drawdown in unconventional
wells," says Wade Welborn, Baker Hughes'
vice president of artificial lift systems.
"But when traditional ESPs face problems
with gas pockets entering the wellbore
and causing system interruptions, their
effectiveness is impacted."
Welborn says the CENesis Phase solution is the only ESP offering capable of
increasing reserve recovery without risking
significant gas-related production interruptions or sacrificing system longevity.
During the production phase in unconventional plays, Baker Hughes says, higher
levels of gas usually are released from the
pay zone as reservoir pressure depletes.
This gas typically enters the horizontal wellbore and accumulates in the lateral's high
side, creating large gas slugs that, as they
move up the wellbore, cause low-flow or
no-flow conditions in an ESP system.

According to the company, the CENesis
Phase solution mitigates this problem by
surrounding the entire ESP system in a
shroud, allowing lighter natural gas to continue flowing up the wellbore while heavier
production fluid flows into the shroud and
is produced through the ESP system.
The shroud also provides a supply of
production fluid so the ESP continues
operating during gas slug events, Baker
Hughes notes.

DALLAS-EnLink Midstream Partners
LP and EnLink Midstream LLC announce
that their subsidiary has agreed to acquire
subsidiaries of Tall Oak Midstream LLC
for $1.55 billion.
The Tall Oak assets serve gathering
and processing needs in Oklahoma's growing STACK and Central Northern Oklahoma Woodford (CNOW) plays, EnLink
notes. The company says long-term, fixedfee contracts with acreage dedications
that have a remaining weighted-average
term of 15 years support the assets.
The Devon Energy Corp. subsidiary
also reports a definitive agreement to acquire Felix Energy LLC for $1.9 billion.
The Felix acreage is dedicated to the Tall
Oak assets, making it the system's largest
customer, EnLink notes. The company
says acquiring Felix will enhance Devon's
size and scale in the STACK play by
adding 80,000 net surface acres immediately north and northeast of its legacy
STACK/Cana position.
"This unique and highly attractive transaction underscores the strength and synergies
of EnLink's partnership with Devon, demonstrating the value creation our relationship
brings," comments Barry E. Davis, EnLink's
president and chief executive officer. "The
acquisition will provide EnLink with an
expanded position in one of the best plays
in the nation, the liquids-rich STACK play,
as well as expand our Oklahoma footprint
and diversify our customer base."
