NCS MultiCycle Sleeves Enable Pinpoint Refrac

To help customers monitor and control
tank levels and temperatures remotely,
SignalFire Wireless Telemetry offers the
Sentinel ﬂoat stick system. Consisting of
a magnetostrictive level probe with integrated temperature sensors that is mated
with a SignalFire Sentinel wireless node,
the system creates a wireless connection
between a sensor and gateway that makes
sensor data and node diagnostic information available through a Modbus RTU
or TCP interface, SignalFire says. Reported

HOUSTON-An operator has successfully refractured a 25-stage well originally
completed using NCS Multistage's Multistage Unlimited coiled-tubing fracturing
system and MultiCycle sleeves, NCS reports.
After evaluating production, the operator
wished to increase stimulated reservoir volume by placing additional proppant in all
stages, using a different fluid system and
higher pump rates than he used in the
original completion, NCS relates. The refrac
began by closing the sleeves and verifying
wellbore pressure integrity. Then, using the
NCS shift-frac-close sequence, all 25 stages
were refractured individually. At each stage,
the MultiCycle sleeve was opened for the
fracture and then immediately closed at the
end of pumping, NCS describes.

HOUSTON-Blackhawk Specialty Tools
LLC has acquired the surge reduction business line of Allamon Tool Co., including
Allamon's diverter systems and ancillary
cementing tools.
In addition, Blackhawk has added to
its cementing tool technology with the UltraSeal™ auto-fill float equipment and the
Blackhawk single and dual dart-released
plug system. The company describes the
UltraSeal as industry-leading, noting that
at 7,500 psi, it has the highest bump and
back pressure rating for large bore type
auto‐fill float equipment. The design, which
is fully PDC-drillable, solves problems encountered during running and cementing
tight-tolerances of 95⁄8 inch and larger
casing/liner strings, Blackhawk says. According to the company, UltraSeal maximizes cement column height for increased
safety and regulatory compliance.
The dual wiper plug substantially increases cement slurry integrity by providing
