KURTZ

EnCap Flatrock Midstream has promoted Gregory C. King and Dave
Kurtz to managing partner and Dennis
J. McCanless to partner.
King joined EnCap Flatrock as senior
adviser in 2015, bringing 30 years of
experience in the energy industry with
a focus on liquids. He is based in EnCap
Flatrock's San Antonio office. From
2003 to 2007, he served as president of
Valero Energy Corp., helping develop
and execute a strategy to build the largest
independent refiner in North America.
King serves on the board of directors
of several EnCap Flatrock portfolio
companies, including Evolution Midstream LLC, Gravity Midstream LLC,
Lucid Energy Group II LLC, and Moda
Midstream LLC.
Kurtz has 30 years of experience in
the energy industry. Before coming to
EnCap Flatrock in 2014 as managing
director, he served as president and partner of exploration, drilling and production
company Alpine Inc., where he was responsible for raising capital, acquiring
and developing acreage, and divesting
700,000 acres in various project areas.
Kurtz serves on the board of directors
of Tall Oak Midstream II LLC, Cardinal
Midstream II LLC and Lucid Energy
Group II LLC.
McCanless has been with EnCap Flatrock since its inception in 2008. He
has 27 years of experience in the midstream and energy space with knowledge
in operations, strategic planning, asset
management, commercial contracts and
transactions. Before joining Flatrock
Energy Advisors in 2007, he was president and chief executive officer of Gas
Solutions Holdings Inc., which was focused on natural gas gathering and processing in East Texas.
McCanless serves as president and a

Ben M. McFarland has joined Steptoe & Johnson PLLC's litigation team.
From the firm's Wheeling, W.V., office,
he will focus on professional liability as
well as energy litigation.
McFarland has handled cases involving professional liability, construction
disputes, workplace accidents, premises
liability, and other matters relating to
workplace safety. He also has represented mining, construction, and general industry companies challenging
enforcement actions taken by state and
federal government agencies.
McFarland has served as chair of the
safety and health subcommittee for the
Defense Trial Counsel of West Virginia.

ABB has appointed Chris Shigas
director of media relations for the United
States. He will be based in ABB's North
American headquarters in Cary, N.C.
Shigas joins ABB from public relations agency French/West/Vaughan,
where he was a senior vice president
working in media relations, corporate
communication and crisis communication. His campaigns have earned dozens
of national awards, including a finalist
for PRWeek Campaign of the Year and
most recently a 2016 Gold Medal for
excellence in media relations from Bulldog Reporter.

P2 Energy Solutions has hired Ben
Wilson as chief technology officer and
global head of product management.

Wilson possesses 25 years of technology and leadership expertise. During
IT careers at GE, BG Group, Siemens
and IBM, he has supported more than
100,000 users and managed teams across
500 locations and 100 countries. Most
recently, Wilson served as CTO of GE
Oil & Gas, where he helped deliver solutions for pipeline and asset performance
management, and defined and implemented the company's global cloud
strategy.

The American Association of Professional Landmen has inducted members
of the 2016-2017 AAPL Executive Committee. This year's officers have more
than two centuries of combined leadership within AAPL, their industry and
their communities.
President Pamela D. Feist, land manager of Lakewood Exploration and vice
president of Lakewood Operating Ltd.
in Midland, received the Best Landman
award from the Texas Independent Producers and Royalty Owners Association
in 2013. She is AAPL's first woman
president.
First Vice President David W. Miller,
owner of Miller Land Professionals LLC
in Jackson, Ms., has a long track record
of leadership that includes serving as
president of the Mississippi Association
of Petroleum Landmen and being named
MAPL Landman of the Year in 2001.
