Dragon Introduces Pod To Speed Sand Delivery

BEAUMONT, TX.-To reduce the
cost associated with hauling fracture sand,
Dragon Products reports it has begun
manufacturing its roll-off sand pod.
Operators using traditional pneumatic
trailers for last-mile sand delivery often
pay over-the-road truckers for time they
spend waiting in line to unload, Dragon
says. The roll-off sand pods can be
dropped off immediately, allowing the
trailer to be redeployed to pick up the
next load. According to the company,
this significantly reduces transportation

and delivery costs.
When the sand is needed, Dragon says
the pods can be offloaded to the blender
hopper by blowing pneumatic aloft or
using gravity-based systems, the same
options offered by traditional methods.
"We expect this piece of equipment
to improve sand delivery logistics to
the well site," says Dragon Sales Manager
Gary Lidiak. "We build a 22-foot version
capable of holding up to 29 tons of
proppant. It can hold as much as 22.5
tons and still meet the 80,000 pound
legal weight allowable on Dragon's
single container roll-off trailer."

M&I Electric Gets Contract To Power Permian Pipeline

HOUSTON-American Electric Technologies Inc.'s M&I Electric business
has been awarded a $4 million contract
to provide a turnkey power delivery solution for a pipeline under construction
in Texas, AETI reports.
Awarded by one of the largest midstream companies in the United States,
the contract covers a pipeline that will
deliver crude oil from the Permian Basin
to Nederland, Tx., 90 miles east of Houston. According to AETI, the pipeline will
transport as much as 100,000 barrels of
oil a day, with an estimated total capacity
of 300,000 bbl/d.
AETI says the turnkey power delivery
system will supply safe, reliable power
distribution for three compressor stations.
It includes M&I's turnkey power delivery
solutions and medium- and low-voltage
conventional switchgear, low- and medium-voltage motor control centers, and
installation and integration of third-party
7,000 horsepower variable frequency
drives, AETI details.

H2O Midstream Acquires
Produced Water Assets

HOUSTON-H2O Midstream has acquired produced water infrastructure in
the Permian Basin from Encana Oil &
Gas (USA) Inc. The company says the
acquired assets include 100 miles of interconnected pipelines and five saltwater
disposal wells with a total permitted capacity of 80,000 barrels a day.
H2O expresses plans to expand the
system significantly by adding produced
water pipelines, drilling disposal wells,
and constructing a state-of-the-art water
storage and reuse hub. By 2018, the company says, it expects to have 200 miles
of gathering lines, 140,000 bbl/d of disposal capacity, and 2 million barrels of
storage to serve Encana and other nearby
producers.
Concurrently, the firms have signed
an acreage dedication agreement under
which H2O will gather, dispose and deliver
for reuse produced water for a substantial
portion of Encana's acreage in Howard
County, Tx., H2O adds.

fits perfectly with our strategy of building
an expansive gathering, disposal and storage network to provide producers a full
