has entered production at the company's manufacturing facility in Beverly, Ma. The company says it is the
ﬁrst Coriolis mass ﬂowmeter to feature
advanced entrained gas management
(EGM), meaning that it has no loss of
measurement capability, even with
gas entrainment up to 100 percent of
volume. KROHNE points out that the
OPTIMASS 6400 has been approved
for custody transfers of both liquids
and gases. It is rated for temperatures
as high as 752 degrees F or as low as
-328 degrees F, as well as for pressures

Reveal Energy Services Now Analyzes Frac Hits
THE WOODLANDS, TX.-To expand
the industry's knowledge of communication between parent wells and their
children, Reveal Energy Services announces it has commercialized FracEYE
fracture hit analysis service.
During infill development, frac hits
from pressure communication between
wells can hurt parent and child well production, Reveal observes. The company
says it set out to clearly define the effect of
frac hits and allow operators to make timely
adjustments to their completion designs.
The FracEYE service categorizes the
type and severity of interwell communication by measuring the pressure response
from a parent well as hydraulic fracturing
proceeds normally in child wells, Reveal
describes. It says a team of company
geoscientists and completion engineers
uses the pressure-response timing and
geomechanics to classify the response
observed into one of four categories:
· Direct fluid transport, indicated by
large and rapid overall pressure increases
in the offset well;
· Fluid migration, suggested by a
gradual pressure increase that lingers
post-stage completion;
· Undrained compression, reflected
by an instantaneous pressure response in
the offset well; and
· No signal, meaning no significant
pressure change occurred in the offset well.
By applying the FracEYE service,
Reveal says it helped a South Texas operator
concerned about frac hits in a four-well
pad directly offsetting two parent wells
stacked into separate landing zones. Reveal's
team found little communication vertically
between the two landing zones, but there

were direct frac hits and fluid migration
when wells were completed in the same
landing zone directly offsetting the parent
well, and the diverter seemed unsuccessful
in mitigating these frac hits. The team also
classified several major frac hits caused
by faults crossing the pad, Reveal reports.

Court Ruling Reinforces
PropX's Distinctiveness
DENVER-The U.S. District Court for
the Southern District of Texas has dismissed
all patent infringement claims by a competitor against Proppant Express Investments LLC ("PropX") and affiliates.
The court dismissed, with prejudice, all
claims after the competitor agreed that
PropX does not infringe based on the court's
claims construction order, which established
the meaning of certain patent terms for
trial, PropX relates. The company adds that
the competitor agreed to the dismissal of
its breach of contract claim against PropX.
"We are pleased by the court's decision
to dismiss the patent infringement and
breach of contract claims against PropX,"
says Kevin Fisher, the company's president
and chief executive officer. "We have
firmly held from the beginning of this
dispute that our last-mile logistics technologies were unique and did not, in any
way, infringe on our competitors' intellectual
property. The court's dismissal of all claims
is a clear validation of our position."

Okeanus To Sell FlexSEA Modular Flotation System
HOUMA, LA.-Okeanus Science &
Technology LLC and Continental Shelf
Associates Inc. have announced an exclusive rental and sales distribution
agreement for CSA's patented FlexSEA
modular flotation system.
Okeanus says CSA developed the
FlexSEA flotation system to address
growing demand for deepwater flotation
modules that can be easily configured
into an infinite number of applications,
including remotely-operated-vehicle work
packages, subsea tooling and intervention
systems, jumpers, umbilicals, and sleds.
