PDF VERSION OF CFI TO CFI?
Is there a print or PDF version of the CFI
newsletter? The white lettering against
dark blue or black print is hard for some of
us "older" CFIs to read, particularly in the
small print on some screens. Respectfully,

Good news! We've made most of the dark
background sections lighter. If you perfer to
save the newsletter in PDF format, here's how
it works: When you have the newsletter open,
click on the "SAVE" button in the top toolbar
(in the accompanying image highlighted with
red rectangle). You'll see a page that provides
a link to download a PDF (scroll down to the
bottom of that page). Here is a screenshot to
show what it would look like. Hope that helps!

ASI MESSAGE: TEACHING
RUSTY PILOTS
Please be aware that tablets and iPhones
used during flight can overheat and then
lock up. I have heard this from a few pilots:
All was going as planned till the last fifteen
minutes transitioning from VFR to unforecast IFR. Now the pilot needed his
or her charts. If the tablet or iPhone was
in the seat next to them or left where the
sunlight could heat the unit, that device
became unusable at the time it was needed
the most. Caution!
