| | PANEL TURBINE PILOT POWER TBM 910 fills a niche THE TBM SERIES of single-engine turboprops has used the same basic airframe and powerplant configuration since its debut in 1991. Sure, there have been tweaks to the original configuration, both major and minor, over the years-a larger cabin door in 1998; increases in maximum gross takeoff weight; an uprating of its Pratt & Whitney PT6A-66D engine for climb and cruise; a forward pilot-entry door; a switch to Garmin's G1000 avionics in 2008; and, with the TBM 930 in 2014, boosts in cruise speed through subtle but effective alterations of the cowling intakes, exhaust stacks, and main gear doors.
