The CECP presents what,
why, and how early career
psychologists are changing
and influencing APA governance and the discipline
worldwide and how you can get involved. Look for this video
webinar and more on the early career pages located on the
APA website.
APA Financial Planning for Early Career
Psychologists Handbook
Developed by CECP and APA, this handbook offers you
practical advice-from how to repay your student loans to
how to plan for retirement. It is an important resource for
all psychologists.
You can get information from APA's online career management resource, PsycCareers (see page 4), including
details about licensure, professional development for
psychologists, salary surveys, and data on education and
employment.
Furthering Your Education
Earn continuing education credits through APA's independent study program and the APA Online Academy. See the
Continuing Education section on page 5 for more details.
You can also attend selected sessions for CE credit and CE
workshops at the APA Annual Convention that focus on
topics of interest to early career psychologists, such as work
and life balance, training, cultural issues in the workplace,
and more.
"As an early career psychologist, I have found APA to be an
invaluable organization that has contributed to my professional
growth as a researcher, educator, and clinician in substantial
ways at this stage in my career."
