POSTDOCTOR AL FELLOWSHIP—FORENSIC PSYCHOLOGY: Lubbock Regional Mental Health Mental Retardation (MHMR) Center, in collaboration with Texas Tech University (TTU), offers two postdoctoral fellowship positions in forensic psychology beginning September 1, 2012. Postdoctoral fellows will receive training in and provide: pretrial criminal evaluations, to include court-ordered competency to stand trial and mental state at the time of the offense evaluations; competency restoration services; expert testimony; psycholegal research; supervision of practicum students from the APA-accredited doctoral programs in clinical and counseling psychology at TTU; and risk assessments in an acute inpatient psychiatric unit. Fellows will attend a minimum of two law courses related to forensic psychology in the TTU School of Law, with opportunities to teach forensic psychology (senior-level undergraduate course) and appointment as adjunct assistant professor in the Department of Psychology at TTU. A seminar series including review of relevant case law is also provided. Applicants should have a Ph.D. or Psy.D. in clinical/counseling psychology from an APAaccredited program and have completed an APA-accredited predoctoral internship.
