Research Imaging Scientist
In this position, you will be dedicated to research in the Cardiac Division at Sibley Heart
Center, while collaborating with ongoing neurodevelopmental research projects focusing
on congenital heart disease. Joining collaboration between the Sibley Heart Center at
Emory University School of Medicine and Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, this is a unique
opportunity to be part of the hospital-based efforts to merge research interests related
to the neurodevelopmental conditions that impact both the cardiac and neurosciences
service lines. Ideal candidate will have experience in some area of neuroimaging expertise
that can be applied to the study of the potential cognitive impact of heart disease (fMRI,
DTI, MEG). The candidate will be expected to seek grant funding and to be active in
publishing these findings. Experience with cardiac patients is not required. This is an ideal
position for a candidate who desires to engage in a research career, as the successful
candidate will be provided with substantial protected research time, access to ongoing
research collaborations, academic/research mentoring, and academic appointments.
