CLINICAL NEUROPSYCHOLOGIST, ASSISTANT PROFESSOR—UNIVERSITY OF PITTSBURGH: The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, is recruiting a clinical neuropsychologist at the assistant professor level in the subspecialty of sports concussion. The UPMC Sports Medicine Concussion Program, which is the largest program in the country, with over 15,000 patient visits per year, is involved in concussion care across all levels of sport including professional, collegiate, high school, and recreational. The program is housed within the UPMC Center for Sports Medicine, one of the largest sports medicine facilities in the country. The successful candidate will join a multidisciplinary team of over 20 healthcare professionals from neuropsychology, neurology, medicine, and vestibular and physical therapy whose mission is to advance the standard of careers for patients with concussion. Primary responsibilities include: Brief and comprehensive neuropsychological assessment, evaluation, and treatment of children and adult athletes with sport- and recreation-related mild TBI or concussion; neuropsychological evaluations of patients with non-sport TBI and other neurological and psychiatric disorders; supervision of postdoctoral fellows; and involvement in clinical research.
