Accomplishment: Elected chief of Podiatry and appointed to the Infection Control Committee at Upper Valley Medical Center. n Sean Dougherty, DPM, Pleasanton, CA Graduated from California School of Podiatric Medicine at Samuel Merritt University, 2009. Accomplishment: Joined Tri-Valley Orthopedic Specialists in July 2012. n Caroline Gaynor-Elko, DPM San Antonio Graduated from Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine, 2003. Accomplishment: Serving as Podiatry Section chief at Christus Santa Rosa Hospital, Westover Hills, TX. n Christy King, DPM, Oakland, CA Graduated from California School of Podiatric Medicine at Samuel Merritt University, 2009. Accomplishments: Hired as attending surgeon at Kaiser Permanente. Elected Kaiser Permanente San Francisco Bay Area Foot and Ankle Residency Program assistant director. Accomplishment: Serving as chief resident at Wyckoff Heights Medical Center Podiatric Medicine and Surgery Residency with Reconstructive Rearfoot and Ankle Certification (PMSR/RRA). 56 APMA News June 2013 n Jose Loor, DPM, New York Graduated from New York College of Podiatric Medicine, 2009. Accomplishment: Serving as Podiatric Medicine and Surgery attending at Lincoln Hospital Medical Center and faculty at New York College of Podiatric Medicine. Also serving as Medical Service Corps first lieutenant, US Army Reserves. n Michal Piszczuk, DPM, Chicago Graduated from Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine at the Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science, 2008. Accomplishments: Appointed to medical staff at Resurrection Medical Center, St. Joseph Hospital, Northwest Community Hospital, St. Alexius Medical Center, Adventist GlenOaks Hospital, and Holy Family Medical Center. Appointed Wound Panel physician at the Wound Healing Center: Resurrection Medical Center. Board-qualified through the American Board of Podiatric Surgery; associate status in the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons (ACFAS). • • • n Wenjay Sung, DPM, Los Angeles Graduated from Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine at the Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science, 2007. Accomplishments: Appointed to APMA Communications Committee for 2013–14. Appointed to California Podiatric Medical Association Public Education and Information Committee for 2012–13 (will be chair of committee in 2013–14). Reappointed to the ACFAS Fellowship Committee 2012–13. Joined White Memorial Medical Center (Los Angeles) as an attending for the Podiatric Medicine and Surgery Residency Program; tasked to create a limb salvage center for the East Los Angeles population. Spoke at the European Federation of National Associations of Orthopedists and Traumatologists (EFORT 2012) in Berlin, Germany, about foot and ankle surgery.
