During the Civil War, the town was occupied by both Confederate and Union forces because of its crucial locale. The town became county seat in 1852. The stories of this historic river port are shared in the park’s 1872 courthouse and the Mary Woods No. 2 sternwheeler. The park offers 20 Class A campsites (50 amp service), a swim beach on the White River, standard pavilion, picnic sites, a playground, and the Tunstall Riverwalk Trail. The park is on Ark. 69 in Jacksonport.
