This is the only park dedicated to the perpetuation and interpretation of the heritage of the Ozark region. Enjoy live performances by talented musicians of traditional Ozark mountain music featuring the pure sounds of fiddle, banjo, mandolin, mountain dulcimer, autoharp, and acoustic guitar. Watch dancers join them on stage. See artisans demonstrate pioneer skills and homestead crafts. And, join workshops to learn these skills, too. During the regular season [April 18-Nov. 1], artisans demonstrate over 20 skills and crafts, including seasonal demonstrations, in the Craft Village from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. And, the Music Theater hosts live entertainment at 7:30 p.m. plus an occasional Sunday Gospel Concert. Music is played as it was before 1941 on acoustic instruments only. Special music shows, contests, workshops, and craft exhibitions are held throughout the year. Festivals highlight the spring and fall seasons. Special music and meals celebrate the winter holidays. Contact the park for a schedule of events and workshops or visit OzarkFolkCenter.com for details on daily activities, workshops, special events, and concerts including the Center’s Celebrity Concert Series. 53 http://www.ozarkfolkcenter.com/ http://www.ozarkfolkcenter.com/ http://www.ozarkfolkcenter.com/
