Recent research has shown that laughter is much more than that. Laughter is a culturally distinct vocal behavior that plays an important part of the interpersonal communication process. Children learn to laugh, initially to control the behavior/attention of adults. This miniseminar will address the development of laughter and laughter's role in interpersonal communication.
