What’s Your special interest? Join a Division Today! ASHA’s Special Interest Divisions enable ASHA members to advance their knowledge and share information and experience in specialized study areas. Through peerreviewed publications, exclusive online content, e-mail lists, and Web forums, the divisions keep affiliates informed of current developments in research, clinical practice, laws, and regulations, as well as division activities and initiatives. Most divisions offer affiliates the opportunity to earn ASHA CEUs through self-study of their publication, Perspectives. ASHA members and ASHA international affiliates can join one or more divisions for an annual membership fee of $35 per division. Effective with the first issues published in March of 2008, Special Interest Division member publications, Perspectives, will be published online only through HighWire Press. The Divisions are going to this new format to ■ ■ ■ ■ respond to affiliates’ interests in accessing content online provide new benefits (e.g., archived issues) save some GREEN. Publishing online only will free up resources that can be allocated to other Division programs and member benefits be more GREEN. ASHA members are advised to activate their HighWire accounts! Division affiliates renewing for 2008 and prospective new affiliates can get ready for accessing Perspectives online by activating their HighWire accounts (http://journals.asha.org/cgi/activate/basic) using your ASHA ID (the number on your card and on your journal). Then, when the first issue of Perspectives appears in March 2008, you will have immediate access! Access to Perspectives will be available to those who activate their accounts and pay their affiliation fees. Otherwise, content can be accessed through a pay-per-view option for individuals who are not either division members or subscribers to Perspectives.
