Presenters: J. Scott Yaruss and Nina Reeves (sponsored by Division 4, Fluency and Fluency Disorders) • Supporting Professional Performance in the Clinical Workplace. Presenters: Kevin McNamara, Moira Mulligan, Shelley Victor, and Nancy Erickson (sponsored by Division 11, Administration and Supervision) State University), Elizabeth Crais (University of North Carolina), and Juliann Woods (Florida State University) will focus on recent research that supports the feasibility and effectiveness of early identi cation and intervention efforts with young children with autism spectrum disorders. This presentation will provide direction for speech-language pathologists and offer strategies to support families and improve long-term outcomes. Directions for future research and clinical implications for assessment and treatment will be discussed. Butler Symposium, an advanced clinical workshop sponsored by the Specialty Board on Child Language, will be presented Nov. 18 from noon to 5 p.m. “Advances in Research: Identi cation and Treatment of Autism Spectrum Disorders in Young Children,” presented by Amy Wetherby (Florida Lunch Sessions These one-hour sessions, from noon to 1 p.m., offer an informal discussion of speci c topics. No preregistration is necessary; rooms will be announced on site. These sessions are not available for CEUs.
