ASHRAE Journal - January 2009 - (Page S12) 9 First-Place Winners, 27 Honorable Mentions CHICAGO—The 2009 AHR Expo Innovation Awards recognize products that best help HVAC&R practitioners provide safer, healthier, more efficient and/or more comfortable environments. The annual competition is sponsored by ASHRAE, the Air-Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI) and the International Exposition Company (IEC). A first-place winner was named in nine categories. Twenty-seven products were awarded honorable mention. The competition received 107 entries that were judged by panels of ASHRAE members for innovation, application, value to the user and market impact. The 2009 AHR Expo Product of the Year Award will be announced on Jan. 27. Descriptions of the winners and honorable mention products are presented on the following pages. S12 January 2009
