Honeywell Has New Thermostats

pump provides heating, cooling, and hot water at efﬁciencies

Arzel Zoning offers the GTPro controller that provides zone
control for geothermal applications. It monitors duct, loop, and
outdoor air temperature and can be controlled from any Web

Xylem announces the Bell & Gossett ecocirc wireless hot
water circulator. Designed for plumbing systems without a
recirculation line, the ecocirc wireless uses electronically
commutated motor (ECM) technology to deliver signiﬁcant
energy savings while operating on as little as 48 Btu/h (14 W)

DALLAS—Honeywell introduced two connected programmable thermostats that can control temperature, humidity,
ventilation and fan settings from any Web-enabled device,
and can help homeowners cut annual heating and cooling
costs by up to 33%.
The Prestige IAQ and VisionPRO 8000 thermostats connect to the Internet through Honeywell’s free Total Connect
Comfort cloud-based application, available in the iTunes
store or from Google Play. The app’s uptime is 99.999%,
significantly more dependable than other brands’ thermostat apps.

hilmor Introduces 150 Products

DALLAS—hilmor introduced one of the most extensively
researched new lines of HVAC&R tools and equipment in
big fashion at the 2013 AHR Expo. The full menu of hilmor
products launched at the Show features 150 items in multiple categories.
ASHRAE Journal asked why not introduce the products incrementally, instead of revamping so many products at once.
“We wouldn’t and couldn’t have done all this for [only]
a new nut driver,” said Emily Bavaro, hilmor’s director of
marketing,
hilmor’s new tools include an electronic gage with vacuum
sensor. It is a hybrid gage that features both analog and
digital readouts.

New Family of LG Products

DALLAS—LG Electronics introduced a new family of commercial air-conditioning products for 2013, designed to
address a range of market demands and to support the
further expansion of the company’s U.S. commercial and
residential HVAC business.
Products described at a news conference include MULTI
F™ MAX, an advanced new eight-zone duct-free split
heat pump system; Art Cool™ Premier, the industry’s first
duct-free product with a Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio
(SEER) of up to 28; and the Dynamic V8® VL Series Air
Cleaner, offering the longest filter life currently available
on the market.
LG Electronics USA also announced that eight duct-free
LG commercial air-conditioning models have achieved the
coveted ENERGY STAR® “Most Efficient” 2012 designation.
“LG Electronics has made a strong commitment to energy
efficiency as a core business principle across the company,”
said Kevin McNamara, vice president, Commercial Air Conditioning, LG Electronics USA. “The designation of so many

is another step along LG’s path to providing consumers highly
