Since 2006, AMCA's membership has increased from 264 companies to 350. That's a growth of 33 percent over the last decade. And, as highlighted in our 2014 issue, AMCA has become more global than ever. In 2006, 37 percent of AMCA's members came from countries outside the U.S. and Canada; in 2016, that number has grown to 54 percent. This international growth has encouraged AMCA to establish offices in Singapore and Europe and accredit laboratories in France, Korea and Dubai. We also welcomed our first-ever members in Qatar, Turkey and Brazil. Although AMCA and AMCA inmotion have evolved over the past decade, the association's mission to promote the health, growth and integrity of the markets it serves has remained the same, not only for the last ten years, but also since AMCA's inception in 1917. It's how we manifest our mission that's changing. For example, as covered in AMCA inmotion, AMCA has emerged as a thought leader and proponent of fan efficiency metrics and standards and is helping to shape a U.S. federal fan efficiency regulation. With fan efficiency regulations being developed around the world, we have hosted two international symposia on the topic, encouraging harmonization and ease of trade. Also, AMCA's value to the industry as a certified ratings provider and standards developer continues to grow, especially in Asia and the Middle East. Through the AMCA Certified Ratings Program, technical seminars and AMCA inmotion, the AMCA brand is instilling trust among owners and engineers around the world. AMCA inmotion has captured these developments and more in the 14 issues published over the past 10 years. This issue and all back issues of AMCA inmotion are available on AMCA's website under the "Resources" tab. And hats off to AMCA staff for maintaining such high standards for technical and artistic excellence this past decade!
