The association will kick off its 100-year celebration at the 2016 Annual Meeting in Washington, D.C. Then, after an industry-wide celebration at the 2017 AHR Expo in Las Vegas, a yearlong period of celebrations held in AMCA's Asia, Europe, Middle East and North American regions will be capped at a closing ceremony at the 2017 AMCA Refreshes Logos and Style Guide Annual Meeting in Vermont. At each event AMCA hosts or attends in the next year, items will be saved and placed in a time capsule. The time capsule will be opened 10 years later at the 2027 Annual Meeting. And the 2017 AMCA inmotion issue will have a special section on AMCA's first 100 years of industry service. material are being rolled out in a style guide, which is available on the AMCA website under the "Resources" tab.1 NEW AMCA RESOURCES Standards and Publications Update The following AMCA standards and publications have been revised since the last AMCA inmotion news update. AMCA updated the font and graphical elements of its corporate logo, as well as the logos used for AMCA member usage and regional designations. The redesign replaced a graphical font with a typeface that makes it easier to replicate the logo wherever it is used. The globe behind the red field was simplified and broadened, and other minor adjustments were made to make the logo easier to reproduce in digital media and apply on fabrics and other branded items. The member and regional logos were replaced with a more standardized representation of the AMCA brand, harmonizing the AMCA logo globally. AMCA also tweaked the red that it uses for both the logo and marketing/communications branding. Though the change is subtle, the new red is richer, deeper and easier to combine with other colors. CRP: Fan Energy Waste Calculator AMCA has launched an all-new fan energy w a s t e c a l c u l a t o r, hosted on the AMCA website. The association developed the web tool to help participants in the AMCA Certified Ratings Program (CRP) communicate the program's benefits to members and the industry at large. The calculator estimates the wasted electricity resulting from a fan operating with higherthan-expected energy consumption, based on its manufacturer's rating data. The calculator's output includes the following: * Annual wasted energy in kilowatt hours; * Annual wasted energy budget in any of the calculator's 34 preprogramed countries' currencies, based on the country's average commercial electricity rate; and * Annual unnecessary greenhouse emissions in tons of carbon dioxide equivalent.
