With its hands-on exhibits, Arizona Science Center appeals to both kids and your inner child, while the Phoenix Museum of History tells the tale of the city’s growth. Both of the latter are located at Heritage and Science Park, a square block of historic homes, shops, restaurants and museums. Look for symphony, ballet, concert and theater performances at downtown’s many venues, then check out the thriving arts scene, with galleries and studios dotting Phoenix Art Museum Lobby Plaza Waterfall ©AOT warehouses and storefronts. ‘First Fridays’ is a monthly open-house tour of those art sites, complete with show openings, artist receptions and live entertainment.
