The Year in Infrastructure 2008 - (Page 41) InnovatIon In CommerCIal or resIdentIal BuIldIng Johnnybro Developments Limited Yi Mei Project Taipei, Taiwan the yi Mei project team was tasked with renovating the interiors of a 50-year-old bake shop in Taiwan that is well known for its wedding cakes and desserts. The goal was to make the inside of the shop fresh and modern while maintaining the traditional image the company had built over many years. By using MicroStation, TriForma, and Bentley Architecture to create rendered images, the project team was able to illustrate various options for the client. This saved time and money that would have otherwise been used on a physical model. MicroStation and Bentley Architecture were used to create the design and produce photorealistic images, which helped the prospective client visualize the interior of the structure without spending money on physical models. Bentley’s solutions integrated CAD and provided visualizations that helped communicate with clients and stakeholders.
