Here in BE Magazine you will ﬁnd hand-picked images and commentary from Bentley’s visualization standard-bearers: Ray Bentley, executive vice president, software engineering, and Joe Granville, MicroStation product designer responsible for visualization and animation strategy. Thomas Tsai, Johnnybro Developments Limited – Tatami Room Ray Bentley: The Tatami Room features excellent application of lighting and shadow. The spotlights along the top of the wall have a natural reﬂection, and the artwork on the wall is illuminated as you’d expect, which draws the eye into the center of the scene. The room is well framed too by the doorway in the foreground, which further concentrates the view. w Thomas Tsai, Johnnybro Developments Limited – Bedroom Joe Granville: Texture and fabric are well articulated in this master bedroom, most notably on the wood grain ﬁnish of the headboard and the textured pattern of the wall above.
