BLITZ Magazine Demo - (Page 6) FULL ALL OUT Publisher’s Letter Football From Prep to Pro [ From The Publisher ] what was just an idea a little over a year ago is now a full fledged magazine. Two guys met each other at a focus group for pros vs. Joes in Center City, philly one night in may 2006, looking to make 75 bones and eat some free sandwiches. sixteen months later we had created a fullfledged, real-deal-holyfield magazine. Full all-out bLiTZ is like an expansion franchise on the fast-track to the super bowl. The groundwork and the foundation have been laid through countless hours of preparation and steadfast commitment from our brilliant staff. but the struggle was fierce and intense. we had to overcome all kinds of barriers just to bring the idea to life. what kind? everything from family losses, financing issues, corporate resistance, you name it. we stuck with it though, as we knew there was legit value in the concept. bLiTZ was created to both inform and entertain the underserved football fan. a disconnect exists between the sport and its fan base. There was no actual football magazine on the newsstand, so we decided to create one. There are season previews and fantasy guides available every summer, but we’re talking about a singularly dedicated, year-round football magazine that covers the entire culture of the nation’s most popular sport. in this first issue we worked tirelessly to prove to you that we are here to stay as the voice of football. our interviews, stories, features, and photos cover the complete spectrum of the game from prep to pro. which Nba ballers would make it in the NFL? do you know who the real Jerry mcguire is? have you ever thought about how fantasy football or pop warner ball really started? who is the most exciting player to watch in college football? The big kid is the best offensive linemen in football, find out why . . . and this is just the beginning. whether you’re a football die hard or casual fan, bLiTZ has the insight, style and flare that will finally quench your yearlong football thirst. we hope you’ve been in the weight room, watching film, preparing yourself, because we have. Full all-out bLiTZ is ready to take the field. see you at the super bowl.
