QUaLIfICatIoN LIStING INtErfaCE The Qualification Listing Interface (QLI) launch was completed, enabling members to self-qualify their Bluetooth designs. Consisting of two main lists, the QLI provides members with a royalty-free license grant via a Qualified Design Listing (QDL) and a means to market their products via the End Product Listing (EPL). QLI features and refinements include: • New TPG/ QLI search interface to refine searches of QDL (PRD 2.0), QPL (PRD 1.0) and EPL listings • An automated notification feature to alert if an EPL has been created by a member other than the QDL owner • New on-line Summary PICS (Protocol/Profile Implementation Compliance Statement) functionality to differentiate v2.0 from v2.0 + EDR products • Change history tracking to allow the SIG technical staff to view updates made to a QDL by a member or BQE tESt PLaN GENErator (tPG) The new import/export PICS option generates a file in xML-format. This xML-file can be used interchangeably between both the PTS and TPG eliminating manual duplication of PICS selections. The same xML-file can also be generated directly from the PTS. Further, the TPG now has the capability to update projects to the latest TPG release ensuring that new qualifications are always provided with the most current testing requirements. LIaISoNS aND CoLLaBoratIoN The Bluetooth SIG continued to work with the Chinese government on a number of efforts including moving toward national standardization. In collaboration with CTIA, the SIG has worked to ensure that SIG members and carriers implement the technology correctly and in a consistent and high-quality manner. All CTIA IOT labs are now required to be Bluetooth SIG Associate Members and provide the SIG with feedback on any issues identified and the PTS and PTS-EITS are prerequisite requirements for all device submissions for CTIA IOT lab testing. Together with Continua, the Bluetooth SIG worked towards integration of Bluetooth technology in medical devices. The Bluetooth SIG expanded its agreements and cross-membership relationships with other external standards bodies to further expand the reach of Bluetooth wireless technology. Combined, the Qualified Design Listing (QDL) and End Product Listing (EPL) represent over 2,800 qualified design/product listings made by members during the year 13
