services delivered in 2007 included the annual Brand Equity Study, conducted in partnership with brand consultancy Millward Brown, as well as audits of Bluetooth product inventories in retail stores in Europe and North America. A number of member and program related surveys were conducted throughout the year. SPoNSorShIP The SIG sponsored adventurer Johan Ernst Nilson climbing the seven summits of the world while bringing various Bluetooth enabled devices to test at high altitudes. During the year, Johan made it to the top of Mount Everest and conducted a phone conference from Everest’s second base camp with SIG members during the SIG’s All Hands Meeting in vienna. Another sponsorship featured the University of Texas Athletics Department and Host Communications-Longhorns Sports Network. The sponsorship included the placement of Bluetooth enabled kiosks throughout the 80,000 plus seat stadium and transSend technology on the University’s sports web sites. The purpose of the sponsorship was to bring new Bluetooth use cases – transfer via push marketing and transSend – direc-tly to consumers, thus expanding the knowledge base of Bluetooth technology “beyond the headset.” MULtIMEDIa PrESS CENtEr The Bluetooth SIG continued its online Multimedia Press Center program to give journalists around the world access to broadcast-standard video, audio and print-quality images on demand. The Bluetooth SIG refreshed the video and photographic content on the site. Even though the Press Center is primarily intended for media, members can also request copies of the material available on this site and are encouraged to submit material for inclusion.
