aLL haNDS MEEtING The sixth annual All Hands Meeting, “Experiencing Harmony”, took place in vienna, Austria with more than 135 attendees. Throughout the week, tracks, presentations and breakouts focused on how member companies and the Bluetooth SIG could further the success of Bluetooth technology. New features were also introduced at the meeting including a Bluetooth Ambassadors Stage, an improved demo day, and all new track and breakout topics. Presented were the year’s inductees to the Bluetooth SIG Hall of Fame, Terry Bourk, Örjan Johansson and Brian Redding. DEvELoPErS’ CoNfErENCE With the cooperation of the Mobile Computing Promotion Consortium (MCPC) and Taiwan Committee of Communication Industry Development Ministry of Economic Affairs, the SIG organized the second Developer’s Conference on Nov 6-7 in Yokohama, Japan. With an international audience comprising over 150 members, the conference provided industry overviews and updates on the ultra low power and high speed Bluetooth roadmaps. roUNDtaBLES The Member Roundtables offer an opportunity to discuss current Bluetooth technology issues and receive important feedback from Promoter and Associate members. In 2007, seven roundtables were held with more than 120 attendees in total, in London, Munich, Chicago, San Jose, Seoul, Taipei, and Yokohama. tEStING EvENtS In 2007, the UnPlugFest (UPF) events were the largest ever UPFs in each of the three regions (US, APAC, and EMEA). UPF 26 in Seattle drew 313 registrants and 144 platforms, the largest UPF event on record. UPF 27, sponsored by the Taiwanese Ministry of Economic Affairs in Taipei, Taiwan also easily surpassed all expectations and drew 278 members. UPF 28 in Brussels, Belgium was the first to offer an opportunity to bring vehicles directly into the testing hall, drawing a whopping 287 participants and 143 platforms.
