Capacity of the new VSH compressor series varies continuously to match the system load, with an operation range from 30 Hz to 90 Hz. Danfoss offers three VSH packages that cover a 90 Hz design capacity range from 11 to 23 TR (R-410A). Delivered capacity is from 3.5 to 23 TR, depending on the load. The drive in each VSH package is designed specifically to match its compressor. With Apexx VSH compressors, the power factor remains above 0.9, regardless of the load. Also, drive controller logic ensures a soft start that reduces in-rush current and adds to energy savings. The unit features the winglet that reduces the noise created by turbulence across the blade tips. The winglet creates a type of labyrinth seal between the blade tips and venturi. The addition of these winglets, combined with reducing the number of blades from 7 to 5, resulted in a 10 percent aerodynamic efficiency gain and as much as a 14 dBA sound reduction without the need for tighter tip clearance or serrated trailing edges. The fan also features speed modulation via external sensor or controller The Copeland SystemPro condensing unit is designed for applications with limited space availability that utilizes fractional horsepower-sized condensing units. It features factory installed, sealed and tested EK filter driers and tri-color hermetic moisture warning indicators in place. Unlike other units that require four on-site braze joints, the Copeland SystemPro requires only one, preserving the entire unit and protecting it from potential contaminants that can result from on-site brazing. Fenwal Controls The reengineered 35-6X Series of 24 V gas ignition controls has received thirdparty agency approvals from the Australian Hot O the Press Annual Excellence In Design Awards Announced in June This annual Excellence in Design awards program honors the best and brightest design innovations in the appliance industry - making June a must-read issue!
