Assembly - November 2008 - (Page 13) CAMCO 601RDM Dymax Founder Dies WILLIAMSBURG, VA—Andrew George Bachmann, founder and chairman of adhesives manufacturer Dymax Corp., died on Sept. 15. He was 68. A native of Newport News, VA, Bachmann, received a BS and an MS in chemistry from the University of Richmond, and an MBA from the University of Hartford. Before founding Dymax, he worked for a number of companies in the medical and materials industries, including Loctite Corp., and Johnson and Johnson. Dymax Corp.’s customers include companies in the medical, electronics, automotive, aerospace and consumer products industries. Based in Torrington, CT, the company also maintains offices in Frankfurt, Germany, and Shenzhen, China. established a new office in Sao Paulo, Brazil, to tap into the ongoing manufacturing boom taking place in the region. The newly formed Ellsworth subsidiary, Ellsworth Latin America Adesivos LTDA, will include an office and warehouse, and provide adhesives, sealants, coatings, tapes, dispensing equipment, and UV and LED curing equipment to customers in the automotive, electronics and medical device industries.
