Deere, India’s Ashok Leyland Joining Forces MOLINE, IL—Deere & Co. is joining forces with India’s Ashok Leyland Ltd. (Chennai, India) to manufacture backhoes and fourwheel-drive loaders for sale in India and abroad. Ashok Leyland, a subsidiary of Hinduja Group, is the second largest manufacturer of commercial vehicles in India. With an installed capacity of 207 megawatts, the new project will be one the largest offshore wind farms in the world.
