The system includes an RM rotary unit and a pneumatic parallel gripper. The gripper has been modified with a longer piston rod to facilitate integration with the rotary module. The rotary module employs a rack and pinion mechanism and is equipped with hydraulic shock absorbers. The gripper can be adjusted over the entire field of rotation and provides backlash-free operation with highly repeatable accuracy. Rotary module sizes 08 and 10 can be combined with gripper sizes 12, 16 and 20 to form four different gripping configurations.
