Conservation • Our systems’ thermal performance reduces energy consumption and the demand for natural resources. • We are the world’s largest manufacturer of “polyiso” (polyisocyanurate) roofing insulation—a rigid, closedcell board product with excellent thermal performance. • Our polyiso products have the industry’s highest R-value per inch of thickness, as well as recycled content and the potential for re-use with a Firestone membrane. • We use ISOGard™ Foam technology, which utilizes an HCFC-free blowing agent that does not contribute to ozone depletion. • With eight polyiso manufacturing and distribution plants throughout the United States, we conserve fuel during distribution. Reflectivity • Firestone Building Products is a member of the Cool Roofs Rating Council (CRRC). Our products’ solarreflectance values have been rated by the CRRC and are available at coolroofs.org. • We are a partner of the Energy Star program, administered by the Environmental Protection Agency and the Department of Energy. We have earned the Energy Star label for AcryliTopTM Coated EPDM, White UltraPlyTM TPO, White UNA-CLAD Metal and others. • The reflectivity of RubberGard EcoWhite EPDM membrane has earned the “as-manufactured” rating by both the Energy Star program and the CRRC. • We are a member of the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), helping to promote and earn points in the USGBC’s LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) program. • RubberGard EcoWhite EPDM membrane meets LEED criteria for reducing “heat-island” effects. Sustainability • Our UNA-CLAD metal roofing systems feature a high percentage of recycled content—along with the durability and complete recyclability of metal. • We stand behind our products’ longevity with the industry’s most substantial warranty: the Firestone Red Shield Warranty of up to 25 years.
