Eliminated 32,000 kg of greenhouse gas, like driving around the world twice. Eliminated 70,000 lbs of landfill waste, as much as 3,500 old tires. Saved 134,500 kw hours, enough to power 140 homes for a month. Saved 35,000 gallons of potable water, enough to fill 1,000 bath tubs. Saved 700,000 lbs of virgin materials, as much as 54,000 bowling balls. The Armstrong Ceiling Recycling Program enabled the Greenville County School District in Greenville, SC to have a significant effect on the environment simply by recycling 100,000 sq. ft. of old ceilings.
