November’s 2008 Greenbuild Conference and Expo in Boston was an overwhelming success according to most attendees and exhibitors. Spirits were high, attitudes were positive, and the show floor was busy. This was my seventh Greenbuild, and boy, have we come a long way! First and foremost, logistically, this year’s event ran much smoother than last year. And even though the economic situation across most of the country was grim, Greenbuild attendees seemed hopeful that the envi- ronmental building movement, alternative energy sources, and green jobs might hold the keys to future economic success. More than 28,000 architects, designers, builders and others turned out to take in the educational offerings of Greenbuild, attend exciting keynotes and plenary sessions (that you can find at www.green build365.org), and peruse the more than 800 exhibitor booths.
