We proudly announce that ETA’s Uganda student chapter was named as a finalist in the prestigious Stockholm Challenge Award 2008 for providing innovation that promotes economic development amongst local technicians in Uganda. In China, we will be delivering our new Comprehensive Certification Examinations to the first 200 participants in their workforce development initiative. As the 2008 Sponsor of the National Skills USA Telecom Cabling Contest, we wish our best to those students across the country participating at the state level in hopes of qualifying as finalists for the National competition in Kansas City, Missouri. ETA’s Chairman of the Board, William Woodward was awarded the 2007 Outstanding Contribution Award from the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) at its conference in Seville, Spain. The SAE Foundation develops and funds programs and incentives that foster student interest in engineering, scientific and technical education. Congratulations, Bill! Internally, ETA is in full swing preparing for Electronics Evolution, Then, Now and Emerging Electronics (www.bnpevents.com/ETA). Yes, registration is open for our 2008 ETA Leadership and Educational Conference at the French Lick Springs Resort and Casino located in French Lick, Indiana, October 12-15, 2008.
