Bell leads the recently expanded FKI Logistex regional service organization in Canada. He reports to Steve McElweenie, Vice President and General Manager of FKI Logistex Canada. Michelman has hired Alan Blake as the company’s new CFO and Vice President. Assuming responsibility for all aspects of the finance and IT departments, Blake will lead the retooling of the company’s IT infrastructure and financial systems to support and improve efficiencies in Michelman’s growing global operations. Tronox Inc., Oklahoma City, has named Michael J. Foster Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary. Foster has 15 years of legal experience in corporate, private and government settings, including 10 years in corporate practice. Bill Gleason, Regional Sales Manager for the Southern Region of Archway Sales Inc., has announced his retirement. Gleason has been with Archway for 31 years. Cris Watson has been promoted to Regional Sales Manager for the Southern Region. Watson joined Archway Sales Inc. in March 2007. PPG Industries’ industrial coatings business announced that Roger Sieja has been named Director of Market Development for coil coatings. In his new post, Sieja will be responsible for directing PPG’s marketing efforts in the coil coating industry and for providing strategic direction to the sales and marketing teams. Allied PhotoChemical has promoted Dan Sweetwood from Director of Sales and Marketing to Vice President of Sales and Marketing. He has also been nominated and voted to be an Allied PhotoChemical Board Member. Vergason Yuntinic Resources Inc. has named Stephen Hulme to be the General Manager of its global chemicals department. Headquartered in San Mateo, CA, Yuntinic Resources is a subsidiary of Yunnan Tin Co., Ltd., based in China. PPG Industries has named Pierre-Marie De Leener, former Chief Executive Officer of SigmaKalon Group, as PPG Senior Vice President, Architectural Coatings, Europe/Middle East and Africa (EMEA). De Leener will report to Charles E. Bunch, PPG Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. Sun Chemical has appointed Rudi Lenz as its Chief Executive Officer and President. Lenz assumes leadership of Sun Chemical after serving as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer and Sun Chemical Board Member since 2002. He succeeds David Hill, who announced his retirement in late 2007. Sartomer Co. has named Adam Oppenstein Senior Technical Sales Representative for the U.S. western region. (VTI) has announced that Gary Vergason, President and CEO of VTI, will be joining the Society of Vacuum Coaters Board of Directors. He was recently elected by the SVC membership for a three-year term. Atlas Material Testing Technology has named Rick Weiler as the new President and CEO. Weiler joins Atlas from PerkinElmer Optoelectronics where he was the Vice President, General Manager of Specialty and Commercial Lighting. Wacker Chemie AG has announced that Karl Heinz Weiss will step down as Chairman of the Supervisory Board at the company’s upcoming Annual General Meeting in May. At the same time, Peter-Alexander Wacker will step down from his function as President and Chief Executive Officer of Wacker Chemie AG and will run for the position of the Chairman of the Supervisory Board. Rudolf Staudigl will succeed Wacker as President and Chief Executive Officer, roles he will assume after the next Annual General Meeting.
