I NDUSTRY NEWS Coatings For Africa to be Held in Drakensberg JOHANNESBURG, South Africa — The Coatings for Africa Symposium and Exhibition is scheduled for August 19-21, 2008, at the Champagne Sports Resort in Central Drakensberg, Kwazulu-Natal, South Africa. Blair Jr., former President and Chairman of the Board of Jones Blair Paint Co., has passed away. Born December 1, 1908, in Roanoke, VA, Blair attended the New Mexico Military Institute and Oklahoma University, graduating in 1930 with a B.S. in Geology. He served as President and later Chairman of the Board of Jones Blair Paint Co. from 1939 to 2000. He served on various community planning groups, business boards and charitable organizations, including the National Paint and Coatings Association He is preceded in death by his wife Helen W. Blair. He is survived by a daughter, two sons, five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Stahl Loses Jon Bouchard WAALWIJK, Holland — Jon Bouchard, President of the Performance Coatings Division for Stahl, has passed away. Bouchard joined Stahl over 40 years ago and spent his entire career with the company. In his first 10 years, Bouchard served as a Laboratory Technician, Technical Sales Representative and Chemist. He became Technical Director for Paule Chemical (Shoe Finish) in 1977 before becoming Upholstery Leather Manager (Permuthane®) in Bouchard 1983 and then General Manager Stahl USA in 1991.
