It eliminates pretreatment sludge, reduces landfill requirements and simplifies wastewater treatment. The coating is free of phosphate, VOC and CO2-equivalent emissions resulting in minimal environmental impact. It is applied at room temperature, reducing utilities and natural resource requirements. With this coating, the pretreatment footprint can be reduced 20 to 40 percent in a brownfield site as well as in a greenfield operation. Cognis Opens Liaison Office in India MONHEIM, Germany — Global specialty chemicals supplier Cognis has opened a liaison office in Mumbai, India. The office will be responsible for strengthening relationships with existing customers, identifying and initiating new business opportunities, and promoting the Cognis brand in local markets. By opening the office in Mumbai, Cognis aims to consolidate its activities and expertise in India and establish a base for further networking with new and existing business partners.
