N AMES IN THE NEWS After more than 24 years of service to The Powder Coating Institute and the coatings industry, Greg Bocchi has announced his resignation from the position of Executive Director. Bocchi has accepted the position of President of The Vinyl Institute in Arlington, VA. Steve Houston will replace Bocchi as Executive Director. aftermarket commercial operations for the United States, Canada and Latin America. Chiang Hebert Brookfield Engineering Laboratories, Middleboro, MA, has appointed Eric Chiang and Vincent Hebert to be Senior Sales Engineers. Chiang will provide Brookfield customers with sales assistance and technical support for both the domestic and international markets. While providing sales assistance and technical support to Brookfield custom- Johnson ers, Hebert will also manage Brookfield’s in-house and regional educational programs. John Frisby recently joined Tri Chem Inc. as Market Manager for the rubber market. Frisby will coordinate the sales and marketing of all products to this market segment. Kempf HOCKMEYER Equipment has entered into an agreement with Highlander Trading and Fortune International Technology to represent HOCKMEYER Equipment in an expanded territory for the sale of its equipment. As part of the agreement, Fortune International has added a new sales representative, Kevin McNally, to cover the eastern part of its Central Territory, formerly covered by Ron Oberstar. Oberstar, located in Hoffman Estates, IL, will now be assisting customers in Illinois, northern Indiana, Iowa, northern Michigan, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, Missouri, Kansas and Wisconsin. McNally, located in Westlake, OH, will have territorial responsibilities that include Kentucky, Ohio, West Virginia, South Indiana, South Michigan, Upstate New York and West Pennsylvania. William Hay or Glenn Browning, with Highlander Trading Corp., located in Medley, FL, will be assisting customers in Florida. who has been named Vice President of Corporate Magill Affairs, is assuming responsibility for human resources as well. As a result, Mark Meadors, who previously served as Vice President of Human Resources, has left the company. Tronox Inc. has announced that Robert Gibney, RBP Chemical Technology, Milwaukee, WI, has named Rajesh Parekh as Commercial Manager at RBP Technology (India) Pvt., Ltd., the company’s chemical blending facility near Mumbai, India. In addition to managing daily operations, Parekh is responsible for global logistics and supply chain management for the plant. Ideal Manufacturing & Sales Corp., Madison, WI, has announced the addition of John Reback, Technical Sales Engineer, to its sales team. Reback brings more than 30 years of mechanical engineering experience to his new position. He has previously worked in aerospace engine development, manufacturing and electronic components. Kevin Suggs has joined Archway Sales Inc. as a Sales Representative for the Chicago region. Suggs has 17 years of experience in the chemical business, most of which was spent with Morton International, Rohm and Haas and NB Coatings. MetoKote Corp. Inc., Lima, OH, has appointed Martha Horner to the position of Sales Account Manager. Horner will act as the primary liaison to current and future customers at MetoKote’s Regional Coating Service Center in San Luis Potosi, Mexico. MetalFX® Technology, a Ciba Specialty Chemicals Corp. subsidiary, has named Al Johnson as Technical Manager, Americas. Prior to joining MetalFX, Johnson held management positions with Schawk, EFI and Pitman Co. The Dow Corning Corp. has named Jennifer Kempf as Construction OEM Account Manager. Kempf will serve as the account representative for all day-to-day selling activities and account management issues pertaining to silicone sealants used by window, door and insulating glass manufacturers. Martin Magill was recently appointed Vice Present and General Manager of Wheelabrator Group and Wheelabrator Plus Commercial Operations. C O M PPG Industries’ industrial coatings business has promoted Howard Wright to General Manager, Global Coil and Extrusion Products (COEX) and John Shaffer to Business Director, COEX Americas. Wright will manage the company’s global COEX business, including integration of the recently acquired SigmaKalon coil coatings business.
