As a result, the warehouse was rapidly consumed, and although this area had an automatic sprinkler system, it was incapable of extinguishing the large blaze. The CSB recommends that facilities ensure equipment used to transfer liquids is properly bonded and grounded; fire suppression systems should be installed in packaging areas; and packaging to be used for flammable liquids, such as portable steel tanks, should be separated from bulk storage areas by fire-rated walls and doors. Russ Brown Elected Vice President of SSPC GLENDALE HEIGHTS, IL – Russ Brown, an executive with Munters Moisture Control Services (MCS), has been elected Vice President of the Executive Board of the Society for Protective Coatings (SSPC). The expo, which includes a vendor show, hands-on demonstrations and technical seminars, regularly attracts approximately 400 participants. In conjunction with the Expo, the Twin Cities Chapter of CCAI will host its annual symposium on March 18 at the same location.
