Acme-Hardesty Co. has named Jeremy Day Southeastern Regional Sales Manager. Day will Pince be responsible for building and enhancing the company’s sales relationships in South Carolina, eastern Tennessee, Georgia, Florida, Alabama and Mississippi. Emerald Specialty Polymers LLC has appointed Sara Farling Director of its Specialty Nitrile Polymers product line. In addition to her new role, Farling continues to hold her position as Business Director for the Polymer Additives Tire Market Segment. Brenntag North America has promoted Lance Kitzelman to CASE Specialties Marketing Director. Kitzelman has been in the coatings industry for the past 12 years, working in technical sales and sales management. DuPont has named Ellen J. Kullman President and a Director of the company. She will become Chief Executive Officer on Jan. 1, 2009. Kullman is the 19th executive to lead the company in DuPont’s 206-year history. Chairman and CEO Charles O. Holliday Jr. will serve as Chairman of DuPont and as a member of the board until Kullman’s expected succession as Chairman. BASF has named Uwe Liebelt Group Vice President of the company’s Acrylics and Dispersions business in North America. He replaces Cenan Ozmeral, who retired. In his Heucotech Ltd. has announced the promotion of Robert Poemer to Business Manager. In his new role, Poemer will be responsible for the marketing strategy of Heubach’s pigments and preparations in the NAFTA region. Rahn AG has named Matthew Sheridan Technical Sales Manager. Sheridan is responsible for sales and technical support management of all products for the U.S. northeastern region. Barry S. Snyder will join H.B. Fuller Co. as Chief Technology Officer. Snyder comes to H.B. Fuller from Celanese Corp., where he has served as Global Technology Director for the Emulsions/PVOH business unit since 2007. Bob Stearns has joined Archway Sales, Inc. as a Sales Representative for its Ohio Valley region. He will be responsible for expanding Archway’s presence and sales in the Detroit, MI, area. Robert G. Crockett has been appointed Chief Executive Officer for Ecology Coatings Inc. Crockett replaces Richard D. Stromback, who will remain Chairman of the Board. Chief Financial Officer David W. Morgan and Chief Operating Officer and President F. Thomas Krotine have resigned from the Board of Directors.
