Stephen D'Esposito has joined Resolve, Washington, D.C., as the non-profit organization’s new president. The group also named Gail Bingham, the current president, to an emeritus role. D’Esposito will launch a new initiative, the Earth Solutions Center. He previously served as president of Earthworks for over a decade, and has also held positions with Greenpeace USA and Greenpeace International. Jeanine Plummer, Director of the Worcester Polytechnic Institute’s Environmental Engineering Program, has been named Professor of the Year for Massachusetts by the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education (CASE). Plummer was recognized as one of the nation’s most outstanding undergraduate instructors. George Mancuso has been named CEO of Wilkens Manufacturing, Stockton, Kans. Mancuso owned Gman Business Resources Inc. a growth consultancy based in Grinnel, Iowa. He brings an MBA from Penn State University and 23-plus years working within the corporate theatre to the company. Pressure Systems has named Randy Akers as its new business development director to help meet the company’s objective of providing more comprehensive and integrated solutions to the liquid and pressure measurement industries. Akers will be responsible for evaluating current markets to define industry needs that will steer the company’s product development. Lynn L. Bergeson will be included in the 2009 edition of The Best Lawyers in America in the specialty of environmental law, and is one of a distinguished group of attorneys who have been listed for 10 years or more.
