(SAL) SCHERI III Managing director Sal Scheri has more than 24 years experience in the gaming and hospitality industry, during which he has directed casino management and consulting services for many of the world’s premiere gaming companies. Most recently, he was engaged as general manager of Morongo Casino Resort & Spa, directing daily operations of the casino, hotel, restaurants, spa and nightclubs. Prior to joining WhiteSand, Scheri was director of the gaming division of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, where he provided consulting in feasibility and market demand studies, financial projects, technology solutions, marketing strategy, operations and acquisitions. He previously created and directed the gaming practice division for KPMG Consulting, LLC, providing consulting in technology, strategy and operations for the world’s leading gaming companies. Scheri has held executive positions with Aztar Resorts, Trump Taj Mahal, Deloitte & Touche and Showboat and Golden Nugget Atlantic City. He has played key roles in the design, development and opening of several premier casino properties, including Borgata, Mohegan Sun Pocono Downs, Wynn Las Vegas, Bellagio, Prairie Meadows Racetrack Casino and Showboat and Golden Nugget.
